HelpSpot In the Wild: Formspring
If you're in the market for a powerful and user friendly Help Desk solution, please take a look at my company's flagship product HelpSpot.
Long time blog reader and HelpSpot customer Ade Olonoh has just put up a nice post introducing his new HelpSpot portal (previously he just used it for email support). Ade did a great job integrating it into his companies website (Formspring). He even ported his forums from vBulletin to HelpSpot and provided me the code to do it so I could post it for others.
Discussion
Thanks for the blog mention Ian. And even more importantly, the software itself.
I have to admit that when I first started using HelpSpot I wasn't sold on the idea of integrating the help desk + forums + knowledge books. It took about 6 months for the light in my head to turn on, but now I can't understand why I didn't start with the portal to begin with. The integration makes managing requests and documentation so much easier.

Actually that's a very common use case for HelpSpot. Most companies start with the email support and then they over the following months they pick up the portal form, then the KB's and finally the forum.
I'm currently fleshing out some ideas for v3 which should make using all these things together even more powerful.
