Feature Update on Open Source Help Desk List
If you're in the market for a powerful and user friendly Help Desk solution, please take a look at my company's flagship product HelpSpot.
I’ve just done a small update to my little marketing/information site open source help desk list. You can now add comments on any of the applications listed. So if you’ve ever used them and have any feedback take a second and add your 2 cents.
As an interesting aside the site has produced 12 sales for $22,532.25 in revenue ($1,877.69 avg sale). Not bad for a day or two’s work. Also I think it’s an interesting indication that many people simply start their search for open source software, but don’t actually consider it a requirement to be either free or open source (HelpSpot is neither).
I also suspect that it’s probably really responsible for about double those sales figures or more as those numbers only count users who purchased with the same browser as they found the site with. So if a manager actually did the purchase or something like that then it’s not counted.

I am still amazed at the brilliance of this idea. It's a very noble page and your company deserves the earnings it generates.

Someone should do the same kind of list but for commercial products. I've seen a few "new" ones recently that are similar to HelpSpot, none of which seemed nearly as good or as functional.
Ok, so there may already be such a list at helpdesklist.com but it doesnt' have any of the ones I'm thinking about on it and it doesn't even mention one of the best!

Nice idea. I respect peolple who earn money by themselves, creating tha idea that generates cash flow

Actually John I have a few domains for that purpose, but haven't gotten around to setting them up. Also there are so many commercial apps it would be a significant undertaking to list them all so I'm still trying to figure out an angle that would make it a smaller and more useful list.
I hadn't seen that site you mention before, we're on helpdesks.com and some of the others. I'm going to add us to that one now!

Interesting...I was actually looking/hoping for FOSS when I found HelpSpot, although I'd never seen that list until you linked to it just now. Interesting idea...now I have to go look to see if there are any other options I missed 
(Actually I'll do this but mainly to look for asset tracking stuff.)
