Book Deal for TurboGears
If you're in the market for a powerful and user friendly Help Desk solution, please take a look at my company's flagship product HelpSpot.Congratulations to Kevin on getting a book deal from Prentice Hall for his open source behemoth, TurboGears. That's fantastic news. Perhaps he'll be able to make a career of TurboGears. I wonder if Zesty will ever hit the street?
On a side note PH is my old employer. I worked with technology in higher ed. It's a pretty wacky place, but I hear the tech books are run a little better than higher ed so hopefully it will be a smooth process for Kevin.

Thanks, Ian! There definitely appear to be a growing variety of opportunities out there for me as TurboGears itself has grown.
I knew you were in higher ed, but I didn't realize that PH was where you worked! I could imagine a publisher being a pretty wacky place. Mark Taub@PH seems quite on the ball and open to doing things in very modern ways.
As for Zesty, I'm still surprised to see news aggregators coming out with email reader interfaces and not trying to build in intelligence. At the moment, I can't even begin to figure out where I'd have the time to personally polish it up, but I am thinking about options to see Zesty News hit the street.

I think you're doing the right thing though. You've got good momentum with TG so no reason to pull back from that to work on Zesty, which at this point is a much riskier move than spending your time pushing TG.
